Things are getting strange
Friends keeping secrets
Switching sides just for some play
I don’t even know who to trust
It’s best if I just get away…
I’m uninspired, patience on critical
I’m tired
Trust, hope, & love at an all time low
Spastic brain function results in lack of sleep
I don’t speak or smile anymore
I just grit my teeth
Trying to think my way to peace
Old methods rendered useless
Consider reverting back to addiction
But I can’t afford the fees
Thought about running away
Even crossed my mind to come home
But I know unfortunately
I’ll just fall victim to friends and family Expiration dates stamped on their love & loyalty
In the midst of all this pollution
I need a moment of clarity….
You love to tell me how I feel
Whether I’m hurting or not
Love to tell me if it’s real or fake
You obviously know my pain
You love to tell me that you know my truth
Like you’ve lived my life
Love to tell me what I feel is wrong or right
You really know how to read my mind
You love to tell me what I want
As if you know my needs
Love to tell me what I can have and have not
You have all the answers
To why I breath…
I had some quiet time
In the midst of all the noise
So I scrolled through our memories
Slipping deeper and deeper
I want to turn back time
My eyes began to swell
Heart started to hurt like hell
Wondering where it all went wrong
It was before the job decision
Something changed in me
I went from warmth to ice cold
I stopped being me
I stopped being free
I stopped loving things
I stopped loving us
Because I only loved you
And no longer loved me
The noise returned
But I kept sinking in that quiet time….

Like a shot to the heart
She watches his world burn

It kills more than a thought of forever
It’ll steal your soul and ask for more

Have you dazed and confused
Running back into open arms wanting some more
It’s a chest match with hearts on the board

It’ll consume you, show you something so beautiful
Then make you regret for what you asked for
