I lost my religion
While reading through various religious books
Line them all up and they all sound the same
Got us killing each other in God’s name
Afraid to look in the mirror so everybody else we blame
We all want “peace” and we’ll take it in blood
This is a Holy War
Sacrifice the women and children, before we kill their men drag their face in the mud
In the name of Allah, God, and HaShem
Peace be with you, and we pray you are forgiven
While we pass judgement on you in the midst of committing a few more sins….

You place this comment on my page and I’m perfectly ok with that. But please first read the Quran yourself and understand before you dub Islam as such a violent religion. And while you pass judgement on the nature of Islam for those that commit violence in its name please pass judgement on Christianity as well for the violence committed during the crusades in the name of God. It would be best to not qoute people in the subjects they know very little about especially when they oppose such things they speak on. Have a nice day.

That’s good logic and assumes a common modern civility in Christianity and Islam, as well as all other religions.
Therefore, assuming I am being at least somewhat bigoted would normally be a safe assumption.
But sometimes the truth is ugly and anything but civil.
I suggest you do a quick Google search of the most violent verses of scripture from the Bible and also the Quran. Then Google the history of the Crusades, then the History of Muhammad.
I have done these things already, and read the Quran for research on a weekly basis.
I also have friends who are former Muslims.

I am very aware of the differences in violent verses within the Bible and the Quran. My point is that neither is based upon violence and both preach to treat each man as they would want to be treated. Violence is only taught to be used when violence is taken upon them or when their way of life is threatened. Same as every other religion. I find it very agitating that people who claim to be Christians, Jews, and whatever else feel the absolute need to criticize another religion. If they really understood their own holy books they would know that they are in no position to pass judgement on anyone. That is God’s place alone.

You are following common sense thinking.
Islam teaches that the reason wars exist is because Islam is not universal. And that force should be used until all submit to Allah and his prophet. And that fulfilling this command makes followers warriors instead of terrorists, though the Quran says to create “terror” in the unbelievers, tax them, harass them, beat your wife, and honor killing your children if they convert to Christianity.
I’m sorry to say these are literal interpretations from the Quran.

Don’t say sorry for standing your ground, there’s no reason to. I never took anyones side in this post, I simply took what I see and feel and posted. Me and my common sense thinking understands that if everyone followed every book to every word that was written in it there would definitely be massacres of the opposing religion. Those were the times religious books were written in. Either way I’m in no place to say who’s wrong, who’s right, and who should worship what. I personally don’t categorize my beliefs or faith under any religion after reading and reaching out to those that believe opposite of what I do.

A safety net to all men is to stick with the Holy Bible, learn the Old Testament and learn what God allowed in times past to bring all men & women to repentance knowing that all of us have come short of the glory of God and all men need to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
God did not say repent in the name of ………. Only Christ who died to take away all of our sins if we believe in Him only! No man can get to the Father without going through the Son of God and this is a fact! Please study the New Testament that you may have more understanding what the will of God is and have an open and humble spirit because without that the pride of men will loose sight and the full purpose of God.
